Las Vegas Renaissance Festival?

I know there's gotta be a few mers going to the Las Vegas Renfaire coming up next week!

I'm not going (sadface), but my mertender is in training as a squire, and he's getting dragged along by the knight he serves. He says he wouldn't mind stopping by and saying "hi" to mers at the festival for me, though, so I may be sending him out with a few mer-treasures to gift to my mer-friends he comes across! Let me know if you're going, and I can let him know how to find you! (plus, then you can let me know if you have any colours/motifs you prefer for your mer-treasure)

...I also think seeing some mer-folks that know me from the forums will ease my mertender's mind, as he's never been to an event without me, and he's quite upset and lonely about it :(

Do merfolk often go to Renn Faires and Festivals? Because we are having a pretty big one in NorCal pretty soon.

Oh yes! Generally as part of the entertainment/"cast" if it's a "normal" renfaire, but there's lots of mermaids at festivals you camp at! Morticia and I were the resident mermaids of her pirate ship at this years' local pirate festivals, and I know Mermaid Una was there as well, and she went to a lot of festivals this year with various mers in her "fanta-sea cove", including Iona!

Usually, if you hear of mermaids at the "weekends-only" type of renfaire, they've been hired by either the festival or by a vendor, or they are a vendor. Morticia and I just did it for the heck of it, and got pulled around the festival in the little Mermaid Wagon :P It was pretty awesome, and I'm already planning ways to bring more mermaid fun to next years' festivals!

I used to do the Vegas fair.. did it did nearly 15yrs before I moved or to Georgia. I know as bunch of folks there. It's my home town.

I went 2013, pool setup there. I missed this year due to some issues with someone in my (now former) guild.

Anyway, I'll be mermaiding at the Pirate Fest here in April, if there's any more merfolk than the 3 I know of, I'd be happy to meet you! I notice Las vegas mers don't really pod together. Or exclude me, which I hope isn't the case! I'd really like some like-minded friends here that I can swoon with. :'(
