MerMade Studios

So we finally got around to getting a video together of our first tail.
After a lot of discussion within the MerCommunity (thanks to everyone who participated), we decided to go ahead with the origional fluke name: Isis
The first tail by MerMade Studios!
So, here it is in it's first swim!
24622
The top is also a custom piece we did, but it is pretty hard to see in the water.
More photos of it in the works.
And if you want to check it out in action, you can see the video here:

A few notes:
For this tail, we mixed the color into the silicone and then hand poured/painted with the silicone to get the patterns.
In addition to the channels in the fluke for water draining, we tucked a set of channels into the body of the tail for better venting.
Instead of a full scale sheet, we went with smaller panels to try something new...and it gives the tail a more articulated look.
There is a set of front hip fins that were added after this footage was shot.
Here is the full description:
Full silicone
Fully embeded color (mixed into the silicone)
Articulated scale panels in the Shell design
Adipose fins with water venting system (the ones under my glutes), hip fins, heel fins, heel vents, Isis fluke design, and fluke venting...
design in tribute to the whale and dolphin plight
So yeah. :) Yay first tail done, second tail starting in the next few days here!!!
What do you guys think?
