Vrindavana Starfish

Hello everyone. My name is Vrindavana, my mer-name is Vrindavana Starfish. I found this place thanks to Raina Mermaid's Tumblr and videos, and have been lurking on her website (Thanks Raina!)
Like most here, I always wanted to be a mermaid, and now I'm re-inspired by seeing so many able to make this a career. I'm an actress/filmmaker who is not interested in fame, only doing work that I love, and have decided that if that means I create my own projects to make sure I'm being creative in a way that is meaningful to me, then that's what I'll do. Currently, I'm focusing on funding my dreams, and do not quite know how exactly I will be using my mermaid skills, but I'm looking forward to working that out and finding my own unique way. I have a master's degree in fairy tales/mythology (no joke), and while mermaids are probably my favorite and I am definitely some kind of misplaced sea creature, I feel my performing career will also include elven and faerie creatures.
I do not have a fin yet, and I'm not quite ready to buy, but I'm definitely doing my research and thinking of my design. I've been drooling over Raven's Merbella Studio tails and Fin Folks' tails. I know if I'm going to spend money on a tail, I will be getting a professional performing quality one, since I will be performing in it some way. Also, it's been a lifelong dream to have a beautiful, realistic-looking tail, so I think silicone is the way to go for me. Until I have a tail, I probably won't have much to contribute, so I'll mostly be lurking and learning. But, I wanted to say hi. :)
I wondered, does anyone have a selchie/seal inspired tail? I haven't seen one yet and think I may go that direction.
Nice to meet you!
