Finally, Finally - Gigs!

I've been working really hard for the past 7 months to break into mermaiding as a career. And it's finally happening! Mermaid Galene and Salty Stuart the Pirate have just gotten booked for our first gig - a New Year's Eve party at a really cool waterpark. We are also developing an arrangement with this waterpark for regular meetups and perhaps some of our music programs. We've got a commitment from a library, where we've performed in years past as puppeteers, to book our theatre piece, The Fish Who Changed The World. And that library is going to recommend our show to all the other libraries in the western Wisconsin system. Top that off with our online mermaid concert series launching on October 26th (more about that soon), and I feel that we're well on our way to a happy, watery career! Not too shabby for a career reboot at age 59!

Oh wow, that's so amazing! Many congratulations to you and your pirate! I really love everything of yours I've seen, your singing is beautiful and your musical act is so inspired, and I think your theatre piece will be just spectacular - how can it be otherwise, with such an inspiring subject?
