Mean Comments?

So, I have read a lot of posts and I have yet to see one mean comment. I was wondering if there is a rule that says, "No mean comments, no exceptions." Or are they just removed? If there are literally no mean comments on Mernetwork, then that would be awesome. I tend to stop going on websites when there are an abundance of them. I'm generally a positive person, and I don't post negative things. If this is an unspoken rule type thing, and there are other unspoken rules, would you please post them below to help me out?

Tempers can flare, but I don't think anyone ever really outright says mean things. Its more like arguments between two sides. All the threads that get out of hand with people getting worked up get moved to the drama thread, so that the original thread can go back to discussing the topic that was at hand before everything derailed.

It seems like that because almost any post of that nature is moved to the drama thread, where it'll remain completely out of context, so when reading it the drama is often not even conveivable any more.

Can't say the forum is 100% free of meanies and bad eggs, but their number is really low, almost nonexistent, and for the rare exception there's always the ignore function.

There aren't any unspoken rules I know of.

Usually folks who have conflicts here on MerNetwork find a way to work it out, and they often grown and become better forum citizens as a result of that experience. It's one of the traits I like best about our mer population.

We have a drama thread where things get moved and a lot of old posts from banned members or people who quit the forum. You can't call people names or harass them or chase them around on fb and expect to still use Mernetwork. But it for sure happens. I've been called quite a few things lol
