Check out this opening ceremony for a new free diving/scuba pool in Italy where a famous free diver dressed in this mermaid costume swimming around for the public. Tail looks homemade but pretty good! It helps that the woman is a natural in the water.

yea, we had 2 threads about this which also had the entire footage, I think.
This video cuts the long dives in so many short sequences.

And the tail wasn't homemade afaik, I also don't think it looks like that.
