I've been researching podcasts over the last little while and been giving some consideration to hosting one. But there seem to be two types: informative and fiction. So informative is either a person talking about stuff, or interviewing people about stuff. Fiction is more like an audiobook, story telling. Like Serial and Welcome to nightvale.
I like the idea of both, but doing both would probably be biting off more than I could chew ;) so what do you think?
Should I do an interview series, interviewing others and turning it into podcasts about promermaiding (similar to my vlogs but audio only and interviews too)
Or should I use a script and tell a story and maybe recruit some merfolks as voice actors? ;) I really like both ideas.

I'm a sucker for stories. I think the information/interview would be very awesome, and I'd listen to that too, but the story one would be really cool. You could even have guest writers submit stories to take some of the load off of you having to write everything.

I was thinking it be a really cool merfolk project if I wrote up a script and recruited some people to be some parts :p I dont think I could pull off anything super amazing, but I think it be a fun community project

Yeah I have a story I've been drafting out for years with the intention of publishing, but now I think this might be a better way, and I've to audition people for the characters.

I'd be interested in helping out. I do lots of voice-overs.

A Mermaid Radio Show of sorts? That sounds like fun!

If international collaboration is possible technically and a German accent would be okay, I would like to audition, too ;)

I wish I could volunteer my services, however I'm not great at doing voices that aren't very much mine. I would totally be a fan though. Fans are important! *Cheers*

I think blends are nice, too. You have information, and a story, and more information. I'd at least give it a go. Not a lot of time to listen to podcasts, but if it were good, I'd stick with it.

Hells yes. Definitely leaning towards stories, but I know I'd also appreciate an informative part of the podcast where you and others could share your experience, answer questions, share anecdotes.
I'd definitely listen to both types of podcast!

Ehehehe "pod" cast.
I'd love to, provided it wasn't too long. Kinda pressed for time, currently!

I know this is an old post but if anyone reading this hasn't yet listened to Cinderly's Mermaid Podcast (http://www.cinderly.com/posts/category/podcast/), I highly recommend it. It's just the podcast for everyone in MerNetwork. If anyone can recommend any other mermaid podcasts, please reply!
