I've been thinking about going for the longer style of tail, like in the H2O series or Aquamarine. I'm just not quite sure how it would be done. I know there's a lever-type-thing that you rest your feet on to help swim and move the fluke, but it also doesn't hug the body like most silicone tails. Any idea how they do it?

There was someone in here making one using PVC as the support structure between a pair of foot pockets further "up" (away from the fluke) to the monofin in the fluke. Do not remember if that was successful or not. Search for "tail extension"

Trident True was making one, had a lot of frustration with it. I'm making a similar to H2o except the TV H2o, Mako version their feet couldn't move. I want scaling different than TV's, I going to use likely the Pearlie Mae method.
On the second page of this forum link is pictures of the H2o tail. Their second and later tails have a fiberglass Rod replacing the Lexan version.

I have a few more design additions to mine, it's become complex. Never satisfied with good enough.
