Has anyone out there used Gig Salad or had any experience with it? I came across it in a random internet search. I've currently signed up for the free version, but I'm wondering if the paid accounts are at all worth it.

Yup. Not worth it. I don't know anyone who has gotten good jobs from it lol. Gig masters too

Every gig I have been offered on Gig Salad hasn't worked out. You're better off advertising and finding gigs on your own but it can't hurt to have a free account there too.

I have the free listing and have gotten a few gigs off it

I have a free account, I get stuff every once in a while from it, but it's not my main source of income by any means, just an extra way people can find me.

yeah I paid for both that and gig masters and they keep extending my membership for free because they dont get me anything lol

Ok, this is weird. I signed up yesterday. I didn't include any information on my social media accounts, because that's not part of the free service. Then Gig Salad actually tagged me on Twitter with a note saying- and I quote- "@steeltownmers Welcome to Gig Salad! We're thrilled to have you. If you need any help with the site, just let us know!"

So I guess they've got some sort of script set up to search matching e-mails or something on Twitter.

I get about 70% of my gigs from Gig Salad, I believe its quite worth it. I guess it depends where you are located as well.

I've had a GigSalad listing for over 6 months. Haven't got a single gig through them.

I've had a GigSalad account for quite a few months now , and haven't gotten a single gig. It doesn't help that there are a bazillion mers in my area, though.
