Yesterday we went to Mazeriq again for two dives. In the surface interval we agreed that the beach looked quite clean. But nevertheless we collected whatever we could find and were quite surprised to see a whole big bin bag filled in the end. With joined forces we had collected 6 kilos of rubbish from the beach, which will now not be swept into the sea anymore! :) Thanks everyone for helping!!

At Redgranite Quarry, the local divers do a cleanout day every fall. We average a ton of trash left by all the kids at the quarry. That's both on the bottom and surface, and probably another ton could be had if we had more people. They figure 1000 people use the quarry every day during the summer. (~7 acres of water)
