Ok so in part it's ACTUALLY doing some hail here now but that's beside the point.

Anyways, I'm AJ, novice merman. Basically I got started at Dragoncon 2014 (with Monilana (or was it momilani?)), saw the post on the facebook group, figured I'd try it, and now my first tail is in commission currently and I'm trying to get other friends to join. This is addicting and another expensive hobby, I blame/thank y'all. :p Other hobbies: gaming, painting, medieval reenactment, all stuff that is very involved and hardly enough time, but it's all fun. I really don't know what else to write.

It's definitely an expensive hobby... My tail cost more than my car xD But, them's the breaks when you want to be a mer. Who're you commissioning your tail from?

I'm having it made by a lady I met on the Dragoncon Mers group, offhand I think her name is Donella. Simple fabric tail. I'm simply not in deep enough yet, nor have the funds for a silicon/latex tail (I forget which us the right material..) I also have a history of choosing hobbies or various physical activities that most males shy away from. It helps keep life interesting.
