Hello beautiful mers!,
It is absolutely wonderful to be apart of such a wondrous and timeless group! It wasn't until a little more than 2 and a half years ago that I finally got my tail in the water (something I had always dreamed of since I was a 6 year old meeting a Weeki Wachee mermaid) when my now husband gifted me my dream weekend with the Sirens of the Deep at Weeki Wachee. That was the weekend he proposed! (BEST PROPOSAL EVER!!!) It really was a dream come true. The Mersisters that I made that weekend have remained in my life since then and we really are such a close knit community. Mer Queen Lynne was my sister partner and we had such a great time. During that time I was also a couple months pregnant with my daughter who will be two in just a few months. How time flies! I was so nervous about swimming in the spring water pregnant I thought it would not be ok for the baby. Turns out, it was great! I think just the spirit of the moment and the joy that it brought me and continues to bring me being a mermaid, some how linked itself into the awesome personality my daughter has. Her name is Una Sirena. My one mermaid. I simply adore her! I love that I have such wonderful mers to surround her and we have a great bond with each other that isn't always easy to find. I'm also happy to have Barbara Wynns in my life. I can not thank her enough for being apart of my dream come true. She assisted my husband with setting everything up: becoming the mermaid I always dreamed to be, the proposal and is now Mer-godmother to my daughter. Barbara is an inspiration, a breath of fresh air and truly just a lovely being. I could just go on and on about how wonderful it is to be a mermaid and a part of such a wonderful and caring community, but I'm sure most of you already know that. I look forward to meeting more mers. Till then, love and peace to all!
