Hi all,
I haven't posted to this forum in a long time (doesn't mean I haven't been looking! Lol)
It's getting close to Christmas and I put silicone on my list. I was hoping to get Dragonskin FX Pro. However, going through tail-making threads, I've seen that people have been using Dragonskin 10 Slow/Medium. Are these the best two to use? The FX Pro doesn't cost as much and I'm wondering if it may be because it's not as good. What makes one silicone better than another (other than work times)?
Thanks in advance. :)

From my experience, FX Pro is softer and stretchier. I prefer 10 because it gives a stiffer feel (especially for flukes) and doesn't wrinkle up as easily or as noticeably.

But it would still work for a tail?
What do you mean by wrinkle up? Like when you sit down and it bunches around the stomach area?
Thanks for responding :)

It would definitely still work. I just prefer the stiffer stuff myself. :P
Yeah, by wrinkling I mean exactly that. People tend to stress about the wrinkles around their stomach, knees, and ankles, so I tested a bit for different wrinkle results.

I can totally deal with that!
If anyone asks, I can just say it's the same as getting belly rolls when you hunch over. Haha
Thanks so much!! :) :)

Is it possible to use two different types of silicone together? Will they bond? In my case, I have Dragon skin FX Pro and want to get some more wilicone. Im a cheapo and saw that Dragon skin 10 medium has the cheapest shipping option. Would I be able to use the 10 medium for the fluke or dorsal and bond it to the body of the tail, which will be made from the fx pro?

Perhaps.... Ask the smoothon staff. They should bond fine
