Hi Arielle, welcome!

You can add a profile pic like this:

Go to "Settings" on the top right of your window.
Scroll down.
In the left you'll see a tab that says "My settings"
Click "Edit Profile Picture" or "Edit avatar"--> this one to put a pic displayed under your username whenever you post.
In both cases, scroll down.
You have to options: enter the url of a picture you have online, or upload one from your computer.
