Bonding Silicone to Metal

Hi guys,

Need a bit of advice?

Mermaid Jessica sent me the cutest little silicone starfish to go with the top she made me and I really want to turn it into a hair clip. My question is this. What can I use to bond the starfish to a metal hair clip?

Appreciate any help given on this subject.

I think E600 would work, or you could even wrap a little bit of clear thread around it and tie it on?

The e6000 would peel right off. My suggestion is to get a bit more silicone and attach a bit of felt to the bottom of the starfish. You can then glue the felt to the clip.

I would sew it on. Perhaps sew felt onto the clip and then glue the silicone to the felt with silicone like Lorelei said.
