Aptly named "The festival of lights", this holiday is 8 nights long, and each day, we add and light an additional candle on our Menorah (the 9-armed candle holder). It is meant to commemorate when our temple was partially destroyed and vandalized, and we only had enough oil to last for one night, but miraculously it lasted for 8 nights.

We play Dreidel, because we were not allowed to study Torah (your Old Testament) in fear that we could get caught and killed. So instead, we would play dreidel to fool the guards into thinking we were playing instead of studying. Each side does something different in the game, and each letter on each side stands for a word in Hebrew that means, "A Great Miracle Happened There".
