I have looked through almost every thread on here and haven't found my answer SO can you use acrylic paints on a slip cast latex tail?! Acrylic paint is water based so I don't see why not, especially if it's mixed with a little bit of the latex. Acrylic paint also comes in pretty metallic and glitter colors. Would this be a bad idea? Would it cause some awful chemical reaction and destroy my tail?

~test it~ if it's not on here we probably don't know! Try it on a test piece :)

I'm not joking when I say I've looked through at least 80 different threads omg it's weird that I'm (probably) the first person to ask this. I saw threads on acrylic on neoprene and acrylic on shells but not latex?! I Google'd it though and Google said it should be safe.

Still test it. Test durability and stretch and color on scrap material

I had good luck using Jacquard Lumiere mixed with a bit of latex on my latex tail. The color has stuck wonderfully, no issues with peeling and it's only faded a bit in really high stress areas.

Yes, you can use acrylic paint mixed with latex. I've done it at make-up school to pain my mask that I was making there. ;)

You can paint over the mermaid tail? over latex, you can paint mixing and latex lumiere or just to pour into the mold? which is the proportion of latex and lumiere? that percentage? 50 and 50? or what?
thank you very much.
