So I'm planning on making my first fabric tail sometime in late December-early January.
I'm making a fabric tail! I'll probably be painting it as well.
I have some questions about the monofin though. I want to extend it and make the fluke a better shape and a bit floppier.
I read somewhere that I can attach thick vinyl to the end and that should do the trick, what do y'all think?

Perhaps talk to Mermaid Wesley - she extends her fins with duct tape, I think? But she makes and sells them so she's a great person to ask :)

Hello did someone say my name? Yes duct tape-actually no. Not duct tape. Gorilla tape. Regular duct tape doesn't hold up in the water too well. For extra support I bought laaaarge zip ties and used them as bones! I taped them to the end of my monofin and then made a gorilla tape fin around them.
