I'm Samantha, and I'm making my first Tail EVER!:yay: I really want it to be an Orca tail, I made the design on my sketch book and now I need a sewing machine or serger Machine. I have the monofin and now I just need the fabric or silicone, Which one do you guys prefer? If I do Silicone, I would need some help from you all:$ I don't know how to do that yet... but I was thinking fabric because It's cheap, and the shine you see on Orca's bodies can be found on fabric:3 lol.
I really want your opinion on this guys?
Thank you so much everyone!:group hug:

Fabric. Cheaper to redo if you make a mistake. And easier to swim in.

I'd say fabric as well - if it's your first tail, you're likely to make mistakes (as do we all), and silicone is expensive. Make it in fabric, see how well it works, get to grips with tail swimming and refine your design afterwards - you could always make it in silicone later :) I'm excited to see your progress though - I love the idea of an Orca tail, but I've never seen one in action I think. Good luck!

i say make it from neoprene, you can use a metallic paint that adds a shine, it's cheaper too!

Silicone isn't difficult to swim in as it becomes buoyant in the water, but as its your first tail just go with stuff that can be replaces easier. trust me, ive had my fair share of mishaps on my tail and im making mine with silicone. But you learn as you go.
