Crystals?

I'm a bit new to the crystal meditation but I have found it to be a great thing. I was wondering if anyone else here did also?

I ADORE working with crystals! My room is full of them! My mertender knows that it's one of my favorite gits to receive, and it's so easy to find crystal stores everywhere we go - so I have stones he's brought me back from road trips I didn't get to go on, and I have crystals from nearly everywhere we've been together. I have ALL SORTS, too - lots of amethyst clusters, Lemurian seed crystals, tektite, Moldavite, so much obsidian and pyrite I don't know what to do with it, etc. etc... I've even gotten a few in trades at festivals that were super-special and amazing, but the previous owner could tell that I am a good person for crystals, they are my little babies and I take care of them very well... The only thing that doesn't get left behind in any move is my crystals and my tarot cards!

I have loads of crystals too! One of my favorites is a clear quartz I bought from a fossil store, it is hollow in several parts in the center which holds water that is billions of years old! I love it

:O_o: OMG THAT'S AMAZING!!! I've never seen one in person before! I love fossil shops and the like, I've collected small fossils since I was a kid... My current fossil is an ammonite necklace from Morticia <3 Of course I broke it and need to restring it, because I am a klutz and require heavy-duty-strength EVERYTHING

Should any of you all ever find yourselves in Toronto, try to allow yourselves time to visit a store called Gifts from the Earth, on Danforth Avenue east of Broadview ( www.giftsfromtheearth.ca .) Oh, and I am the proud owner of a sunstone that I got from Iceland (Spar) but it's not very big and it's kind of hard to use it to find the sun. I've been told too that Iceland has stopped the harvesting of Spar crystals, so presumably they'll become harder to get and more expensive. There are calcite crystals from other places available, though, that are supposed to be just as good for finding the sun.

To reprise MermaidShelly's question. How do you all meditate with crystals? I did a search and came up with hundreds of links to all different kinds of meditation that were called crystal meditation, but were pretty different. Are there some that you recommend as really working well?

I have also read that quartz can absorb and re-emit yin energy and have been experimenting with that a bit. Need to figure it out more.

I don't really know if I believe in it all, but it really fascinates me still (I feel similarly about magic, astrology, & religion) and I'm super interested in mineralogy as a whole so I'd love some crystals in my home. Where does a "beginner" start, so to speak? I guess I mean also that I don't want to pay more for crystals that have been "energised" or whatever when I can just get regular ones etc. I don't know if that's how it works, but I've seen similar things with shops that sell "purified/cleansed/electrified/activated/purged/etc" items that I honestly just think are pretty and like the folklore behind them and want to hang them on my wall and look at them without worrying about their magical uses.

If you have any fossil stores nearby those are great. Also a lot of bead stores sell crystals too. I know all of the bead/jewelry craft stores here sell crystals. That's actually where I got several of mine

Australia is a fantastic place to find crystals, but the downside is they're all pretty pricey. I'm hoping to find somewhere online where I can find crystals sourced from countries where they're more plentiful and hopefully cheaper!

You can get great deals on crystals on eBay. The thing is, there are really good people on there selling great crystals, but also scammers selling fakes. You have to spend time to make sure you're dealing with a good person.

I love my crystals, I go to a shop close by and listen for the crystals to call me. My favorite is my Atlantian crystal, she's a rare lady because she's a blend of the two different kinds of Atlantian crystals (basic ladder striated and starseed)
