B always B. There are threads on this as well, but french clips stay in your hair the best and don't slide out like alligator clips

All the clips I make for mermaiding are on the B clips. They're the only ones that are secure enough for how they're used.

Yes. And if they slip, there are tricks to make them pretty immovable unlike other kinds

I never use style B, because it slides off easily, even when not swimming.

I would've thought style A to be the least prone to get loose. :confused:

Style b is the only kind that stay in my hair, if they're the right size. I need the smaller ones for my thin hair, my friend uses the bigger ones for her thick hair.

I HATE style B. I have fine hair and the French clips always catch it and pull it out at the hinges. If I ever buy a barrette with a french clip, I remove the clip and replace it with something else. Also, they always slip off with me. Style A is my favorite.

I use style C with a bobby pin underneath, and it stays in fine; that is, if I don't do lots of flips and twirls...

I like C, but that's just because I'm too manually challenged to figure out how to get A or B in my hair.

I always use style B for clips that I am going to use in water. If they ever slip, I found that grabbing them onto more hair keeps them in place. They are my favorite because being larger, I can make the clip more fancy and the actual barrette does not shown.

I always use C because I can't figure out how to open B. I have a bunch laying around that I want to try out though.

Style C is also a valid option, could be used in a similar way to B but I can only vote once haha.

I've used both B and C in my hair clips and find that PERSONALLY I prefer B and have more customers request B.

I use B in all my hair pieces. But I was wondering if anyone tried to mermaidafy octopus clips. They're my favorite and I wear them constantly at work. I'd like to decorate one somehow so I can always wear a little mermaid inspiration.
