TAIL DAMAGE?????

My tail retained some damage while I wasn't looking. I have NO IDEA how, but it has some scrapes on the fluke as well as a few of the scales. Anyway, I desperately need tips on repairing it. I don't want to screw my tail up just because I have never repaired silicone before. I already have the pigment I need, and I know I'll need to order some dragon skin, but what precautions should I take to fix it? I'm mainly concerned about the scale damage.

Could you just paint over the damaged areas with the dragon skin/pigment mix? It doesn't seem to me that once re-pigmented the scale damage would be noticeable unless you had previous knowledge of the damage. Best of luck!!!
