Hi from Finland! :)

Hi everyone :) I made a New Years promise to myself that I would gather my courage and introduce myself in here. Even tho I am a little bit shy person ^_^

I am Mermaid Eliina. I live in Finland. I started practising with fins in 2010. Summer 2010 was warm but during the next summers I lost my interest to swim outdoors because of the cold summer weathers we had. Last summer was so hot and I spend so much time in water. I also had opportunity to spend a holiday week abroad this autumn and I practiced at the pool area every day. It was so wonderful. I found my passion for watersports, swimming and diving again.

I have worked as a stunt double in few movies here in finland and as an actor, stunt performer and pyro artist in smaller productions. I have also done little bit live performing, but nothing Mermaid related yet. I have two tails. I made the first one myself and the other one is made by lovely Mermaid Crystal. My breath hold record (dry statistic) is 3:30. I am probably not be able to reach it at the moment though ^_^’

So far this has been a hobby for me and I have no idea where this path will lead me to. I just wish to do what I love ^_^

Tervetuloa! Greetings from another Finnish mer. ;) That's a good breath hold (I can only manage about 20 seconds at the time, I totally need more practice). I'm glad you found your way here. It doesn't matter if it's just a hobby or if you're aspiring to do it professionally (or both). New mers are always welcome (I'm a hobbyist myself).

I had a daily routine to practise my breath hold every time before I went to sleep. It helped me alot :) So lovely to meet another Finnish Mer! ^_^

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Ciara, l'm from lreland, and l've loved mermaids from a young age, around 3-4. l found out about mermaid swim costumes about six years ago, and l've wanted one ever since. Because l live in lreland, the weather isn't good until late spring, and we have no outdoor pools. Because of this, l was unable to spend a hundred and fifty dollars on a tail, but then l got one from eBay for forty euro, and l loved it! It broke, as l expected it to, but l then decided to make my own for my friend and me!
I love drawing, singing (even though l'm not good at it) and l love learning about the ocean and nature!

You're not alone. I'm extremely shy in real life, very nervous about walking up to people and talking to them and I often tend to have a nervous breakdown when I'm supposed to hold a presentation.
