Could be handy to post some of your work so tail makers can see what you're capable of.

It's 'Sensei'* ^_^
Yeah, show us a portfolio of your work. I'm sure Tailmakers will be keen to see what you have.

I don't have anything! I'm literally asking for even basic stuff :p
I guess the most I can "show off" are these designs I played around with.

(I'm not assosiated with Merbellas Studios btw)
Oh. And I made a mer themed mug in ceramics class once.

I guess that's my resume. A few designs while I was bored and a mug. >.<

You could learn how to make the most basic of basic tails: fabric tails (I just double checked that your current tail was made by mermagica). They're really easy to make once you know the process and there's loads of tutorials on YouTube. Moreover, they can be really cheap to make (at least compared to silicone tails for example!) ! All you would need is some stretchy material (such as lycra or spandex) and a monofin which can vary in price. In fact, I remember watching a video where leggings were used to conceal the legs (both in one leg) and they must have just worn a monofin on their feet.
But it all depends on what sort of tails you want to make and what you want to make them for. Fabric, neoprene, silicone? Are you planning to make simple tails to put on sale or are they for yourself or just a hobby???

I feel confident enough to be able to make fabric tails no problem. I want to make silicone tails. I've watched videos and read some guides on how to get started. But there's nothing like actually learning from someone.
If I actually found someone near me, I'd do it as a hobby at first, then I'd either try to get into business with the person teaching me, or move on to try a business myself.
