Hey guys. I'm going to be getting a mono fin soon. I'm a strong swimmer, and have used fins for years, so a "beginner" mono fin is not really what I need, especially since the dolphin kick is second nature to me. I'm considering the Finis Rapid, but the sizing says for women size 9-13 (US). I'm a 6.5 or 7, so even with booties, I think this will be way too big. Any suggestions? I'm trying to keep this fin under $100, or I'd be looking at a competitor. Would a Foil be powerful enough for ocean swimming (snorkeling?)

The rapid has adjustable straps. But I really don't know about swimming in the ocean, yet to do that.

My feet are 6 1/2. (Sometimes 6, sometimes 7 depending on the shoe). I have both the wave and rapid. I have the wave sewn into a neoprene tail and it does fit slightly snugger than the rapid. But the rapid is fine for me. ( I have only swam in the ocean with the Wave. My rapid I plan to use in another tail, and I use my Mahina merfin mostly. (which to me, has an even larger footpocket than the rapid).

Awesome, thanks guys. I'm also considering a Foil now. I'll be doing mostly pool swimming, but plan to take it with me traveling and would like to use it in the ocean. Good to know that the Wave and Rapid will both work for my size! :)

I think that this information is the best.
