Yeah, we go every year and it's a blast. Ask Lindsey how she basically won the parade last year. This coming year, I'd like to do the same thing, just more so, so yes, come and bring your tail!

Will participate in whateveI know, just a bit of a running joke because "We're going to get a float this time!" has been said every year since tails have been a thing, and it's never happened, so naturally it was the first thing I thought of.

Well, if we want a motorized float, we're going to have to rent a flatbed, and we will have to decorate it...and we won't be able to go up on the boardwalk. If we want multiple mermaids on a human powered float, we're going to have to enlist a bunch of hunky, strong men to pull us along! Or hunky, strong women...or both! Craigslist! We need help!

Holy cow ok. So we need a team to be there like a day or two a head of time to put together a float. We also need money. Should we start a kick starter or something and everyone on the float contribute to the rental of the flatbed and the decor?

Yes! That's Mat Fraser and his wife, burlesque star and performance artist Julie Atlas Muz. They met at Coney Island ten years ago and fell in love!
