So I wanted to visit the Ren Faire this summer in my mermaid tail, but I can't just force my poor boyfriend to carry me all over the place. So we started talking and he said he would prefer a stroller type deal, soooooooooo I got a bike trailer for towing kids around and I'm gonna modify it. Right now it's bare, I just got done taking all the worn out cloth off it.

I'm going to get a wire grating to attach to the bottom where I sit, both to give me a place to sit and also to re-enforse the whole thing since it's made to carry children, not 120 lbs mermaids. lol Then we'll get a couple of smaller caster wheels to put on each side of the front to keep it level and make it easier to push around. ^.^

Once that's all done I'll work on getting it pretty and mermaidy. Def gonna need a pillow for the bottom, and some fishnet. Other than that I'm open to suggestions. :)

Ooh, I think adding some greenery (fake seaweed and flowers) and some strands of pearls... maybe a few gold trinkets? That's going to be sooo cool! I never thought of using one of those bike things!

I def wanna add some seaweed, but I didn't think of flowers! The hibiscus would be pretty! I wanna put a "live bait" sign on it somewhere.

You could add some sort of "Don't Feed The Mermaid" sign, or something along those lines. Maybe some pretty draping fabric and sea rope?

If I can find soft rope, that'd be awesome. :) I'll have to look around for the right fabric.

Maybe a bit of burlap or sail cloth? Or you could go the other direction and use some really flowy sheer fabric.

Maybe a bit of both? ^.^ I might cover the pillow I get in sailcloth, so it's sturdy looking. Maybe with a rope edging or something. :)

I was going to say, I've seen some pretty, sheer fabric in mermaid colours at wal-mart, even... that could look nice too!

I saw some of that when I went to visit my papa in Texas at his walmart.

Ask Auntie Google to show you images from the Coney Island Mermaid Parade! There are all sorts of creative ways to decorate mermaid hauling devices!

Pulling that up the hill in Co is going to be quite the workout!

Maybe a break system to keep you from rolling away when parked?

It has a brake on it! ^.^ I think my bf will be able to push it ok. Lol
