Great review! I am not sure if I will get this monofin, but if any of my friends ever get interested in the monofins then this is a nice cheeper alternative than the finis rapid. My boyfriend might want this haha.

@MinxFox: Yeah for sure! I really wanted something lighter than my Rapid and a little more travel-sized haha! It's definitely a good alternative. Although for more serious swimming/mermaiding, the Rapid (cut to shape) might still be the way to go for overall stability and comfort.

I will also add though that using elastic bands wrapped around the straps where they fold over helps SO MUCH! I did a test, one with and one without and the side with the elastic didn't loosen at all. Feeling happy about that! ^_^

Yep might really have to consider getting one for my boyfriend since his Birthday is coming up. I swam in my monofin for the first time yesterday, and he tried it too and really liked it so I will see if he wants his own. :)

Thank you for the review! I just ordered one from ebay and I'm so excited to get it and take my first step towards mermaiding! I was worried about the cost of a monofin but this one I got for $48 plus shipping. I believe the on the finis website it cost more.

I'm thinking of buying one to just use in my tails and use my rapid for heavy swimming. I have seen so many reviews saying these fall apart, is it really worth it?
