It is. And hes gonna be at comicon so I think im gonna bring my tail and get a photo! He looks amazing and I cant wait to see the movie!!!!!!!
On one hand it looks like its trying a little too hard to make him look badass, to the point that he's totally unrecognizable. On the other hand, it is a cool look. We all know from experience how hard it is to design cool looking underwater apparel for dudes.
It probably doesn't help that he isn't blonde, and aquaman is always portrayed as being blonde. Also there isn't a bright orange shirt.
Yeah. I just realized its not totally out of nowhere since for a while in the comics he had long hair and a beard and no shirt. Sometimes he even had that weird armor on only one shoulder look. But its not as well known as his typical costume, and without the blonde hair its easy to have no idea what this is supposed to be.

I think it's funny, most of the flack seems to be coming from men online, and the women all love it. I think you have to have seen him as drogo on game of thrones to understand how epic this is. I hope they put in some kind of easter egg where he says something about "my moon and stars" I'll just die.
I was excited for this casting from the moment it was announce. I think this is more believable than Ben Affleck as batman lol. I am hoping this movie will open the door for a wonder woman movie and an aquaman movie. We need more female super heroes and it is INSANE that superman and batman have had so many movies and we get nothing for women from DC. Meanwhile marvel is fishing out female characters left right and center in TV and film and they're actually main characters.
I always pictured atlantians with tats and fish netting and dreads and stuff. Makes me think of that disney movie only more hardcore.
love love love everything about it. wooo. I love the super hero genre so I tend to see most of the films, for me marvel is what i tend to see more of in theatre as opposed to DC but it's been a while since DC has had a big it. Maybe this one will be it.

I would love to see a movie of mostly female superheroes with a few scantily-clad male ones just thrown in for sex appeal. Y'know, as sort of a counter to how many of the OPPOSITE sort of superhero movies we have.
