Finfun Monofin: Issues with feet slipping?

I was hoping my finfun monofin, their newer model, would do the trick for awhile, however I'm beginning to think otherwise. While it has minimal propulsion, my feet also slip around in the pocket. If I get going too fast the fin will start to slip to the side. This causes me to halt suddenly or twist my ankles in such a way I'm afraid ill eventually injure myself.

Is there anything I can do to prevent it sliding from side to side or am I just stuck with this? If that's the case I'll just be working some extra hours to upgrade to a Finis earlier than I planned.

Glue on a pair of flippers or water shoes. I have the old plastic ones, I use two inserts inside with a water shoes glued on one. It still has minimal propulsion.

yeah I think that's all you can do I find them so useless! lol I love the fabric and design but the monifin is sooo bad.

I love it myself, it's very lightweight so it's perfect for holding my fluke in shape and it's perfect for just chilling in a kiddie pool, but definitely not recommended for serious swimming. It makes the shape of my fluke look more realistic

Mine is actually purple, yes seriously, I think it's the neopreney fabric with a plasticky liner to make it stiff? Is that the old ones?

The newer one I have has black neoprene with a black hard fun inside. I took it out to a lake and it was good to learn with, but def not for much lake swimming. It was better than I expected it to be though for sure.

I thought the slippage then was the neoprene maybe stretching out from so much use. Doing laps today in the pool I realized it was just the construction.

Sooooo I told my hubs I need an upgrade, haha. I plan on it in a few weeks, and I'll just deal for now/modify it with swim shoes.

I really think it would be better with separate foot pockets. Hopefully any future versions consider it!
