Neoprene-Sequin-Silicone Hybrid Tails on the Market
Now that I've used my tail several times since it's completion, I've decided to try and get my name out there for commissioning tails. :) I've already had a few inquiries and started talking design with one or two. :) Now until, I get my Etsy shop, Myra's Menagerie, finished (just have to sort out the payment methods and such), I won't take any actual orders, for obvious legal/trust issues. ;) But if you're actually interested I would be more than happy to start the designing process, plus if this goes on before ordering, it will make the entire process faster and smoother. :)
I'm really excited about this as I've imagined seeing a tail of my creation on someone else, and hopefully an boxing video or two. Hehe :)

I'll be selling tails that have a neoprene base, fully sequined (or however much you want covered, but the entire tail being sequined looks great, trust me haha), and entirely covered in a silicone coating. I hand-create the monofins from swim fins and Lexan sheets so they can be exactly the shape you want (it's how I made my own that I love). I also am very willing to go back and forth with you in the designing process and I love drawing so whatever ideas you may have I can totally draw things out and we can change stuff and make it perfect for you. <3
As for pricing...:
A basic tail that consists of: neoprene base, sequins (up to three colors), silicone, and a custom design and fluke shape will be $700.
Extra Fun:
General Idea of Additional Pricing:
- 1 set of side fins: $30-50 (depending on size)
- 1 dorsal fin: $20-30 (depending on size)
- 1 set of ankle fins: $20
- 1 set of pectoral fins: $20-35 (depending on size)
- 1 set of calf fins: $30-50 (depending on size)
- Glitter coat: $20
- Vinyl: $50-70 (depending on coverage)
- Blended waist: $20-25 (depending on detail and coverage)
- Extra sequin colors: $15 per color added
- Extra large fluke: $45 (my fluke is a Large fluke and the basic size, but can be made smaller if wanted)
Measurements needed:
- Shoe size
- Circumference ... Starting at belly button, then every two inches down all the way to the ankles, including the ankles.
***If there is any other thing you'd like to include on your tail, let me know and I can give you an idea of extra charge. Things such as embedded belt, ankle bracelet thingy, or anything you may desire. ;)
**Please keep in mind that if it is required because of sizing of fluke and/or body of tail, more sequins, neoprene, and/or silicone may be needed. If this is the case, it is not much more of a charge, but to cover costs, it will increase a little bit, and I mean a little bit. ;)
*Buyer will need to cover shipping and handling costs.
I'll attach some photos of my tail (that's NOT a basic tail as it has side fins, a dorsal, glitter, blended waistline, and vinyl) and would really love to design and make tails for other mers. <3
I'll also be selling tops like the one in the pictures as well as sequined ones (like the one I made before this, there are some photos on my page haha) and accessories like belts, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, headpieces, hairclips, and scaling SFX kits. :) (And who knows, you might just happen to fins one in your package when it arrives... ;) ;) ;) )
