Chicken and rice is a common dish eaten worldwide, and thus there are so many different variations that exist and can come to mind when that dish is mentioned. So I was wondering, what is your favorite recipe for chicken and rice? Looking to try out some of them!
Hi all! I used to be convinced that any healthy food was by default unpalatable and could do nothing to surprise my taste buds, but as it turns out, I was wrong. I recently went to a friend's house and he made chicken and rice. This dish was incredibly delicious and he shared the recipe with me. As it turned out, he was cooking with this chicken rice recipe. This recipe was very easy to make, but the result is incredibly delicious!
From my Greek grandmother: sear some chicken in a pot, set aside. Sauté onions, celery, garlic, carrot with olive oil, salt & pepper, a dash of cayenne, a little bit of dried oregano. Add rice, toast for a few minutes, add chicken stock, lemon juice, herbs (parsley, thyme, dill). Too with chicken, cover, and cook in oven for about 2 hrs.
