Help!What competitorn monofin should I use for my tail?

Hello everyone :)

So, I don't want to bore you therefore I'll say what's going on
Now I have a problem....
I was writing an email to Fish Butts to discuss about my tail design and Stephanie told me that she will use a competitor monofin for the fluke and here everything is ok, but I want a particular shape for the fluke so now I don't know which is the best for me between these:

What I would like to know is the corresponding measures for each of these (like how big they are,the length and the width) and which one will give me the best result to obtain something that moves like this:

I know that Mermaid Raina has a tail made by Raven with a competitor monofin and I saw some videos where the fluke is very similar to what I want to see in the water so if someone knows what tipe of competitor monofin was used, how much big is her fluke and how it was built (I mean if the silicone fluke follows the shape of the monofin or if the fluke is bigger than the monofin and was added a reinforcement to support the entire structure).

Why all this for a monofin?Well it's because when I recive my tail I want it to avoid this:

because I think that is something that makes the tail seem unnatural and therefore unreal.

I know that in the forum there are lots of mermaids and merman who bought their tail by Mike Van Daal and another curiosity for me is that I'm interested to know how he makes his version of the monofin -the shape,how big is it- (I know that it isn't exactly a monofin but I saw a video on youtube where a mermaid explanes that inside the tail there is a part that seems very closely to a monofin, here is the link to the video --->

If these mermaids/man doesn't want to post on the net Mike's secrets (and I understand why) I'd like them to send me a private message if they want to help me :)

Um I can't see any of your attatchements sorry! But as for the monofin, I'd be cautious of the cut one there, because it has a very straight cut thats not curved or rounded out, it will crack MUCH more easily, refer to this thread: http://mernetwork.com/index/showthre...-monofin-shape
As for Mike Van Daal tails, they have no "monofin", just a foot pocket. Maybe theres some kind of fiberglass or plastic sheet in there to allow propulsion but i'm not sure. But anyways, mike doesn't make tails for customers anymore (at least thats what i've heard).

And keep in mind that with the competitor, there are those annoying black blades, which are pretty evident in a tail. Maybe try another fiberglass monofin, like this one! http://www.freedivinginstructors.com...&category_id=1

Raina, I believe has a Finis Competitor, as I think that's what Mermaid Raven uses. If you want a movement like those listed, I would think it would have to be pure silicone, although I can't guarantee that for sure. I'd say for your specifications to go with a competitor and find someone/cut it yourself/get Stephanie to cut it. Unfortunately, the Aqua Tails' Competitor looks like it's cut wrong. Which really sucks, because I had originally had my eye on it for a while. Good luck!
