I've been looking at upgrading to a neoprene and silicone tail. I can't afford full silicone.....yet.
I'm going between a merbellas basic tail (around $1000 right?) and mer berry, which is about $600
Anyone have a mer berry tail? How about merbellas?? Is the quality difference significant?
Have you checked out the merberry reviews yet ?
Merberry tails are no where near as thick as Merbellas, especially in the fluke area.
If you're considering both, I'd go with Merbellas. It's a tail that will last you far longer, and for less than twice the price (and as draggersprez says, check out the Merberry review thread, as well as the Merbellas discussion thread and review thread).
Not saying that Merberry tails aren't lovely, but the low price means they can't be as good quality.
If you can afford better, go better!
I encouraged Mermaid Collette to post a review on her Merberry tail she received. I got a change to look at it and watch her wear it. Without going into detail, I would strongly recommend Merbellas instead.
I second the merbellas recommendation. I have a merberry tail (latex) and it began falling apart as soon as I took it out of the box. Luckily, she is replacing it for me with a silicone one (and the price is much higher than what you had mentioned now that she is upgrading materials)...but I will have to wait until nearly Christmas to receive it. I am also ready to place an order for a merbella's tail, but I haven't gotten an email response as of yet. I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue; perhaps she is not taking orders at this time?
After seeing a merberry tail in person and seein the good and bad I would honestly go with merbellas.
i own a merberry tail and although i love my tail, its kinda falling apart (oh well i get what i pay for) . she's taking more orders than she should as well. i would go with merbella.
I might be wrong, but I think merbellas isn't taking orders at the moment, she's finishing up the current round and then I think adjusting her prices and then taking more orders, I think she's thinking about changing the basic tails, but I'm not sure. I'd go with merbellas, they are high quality and good. If you are thinking about neoprene/silicone, I know that mertailor has his new line for 700, and Shell tail labs does neoprene.
yeah you gotta realize the price difference between both is huge, lol
Also do you want to invest in an expensive tail but have it forever?
