4th of July Tail

:doh: Oh herp derpy me.

I completely spaced on an event that I'm heading to THIS SUNDAY! and as I was getting things prepared and ready I remembered that my green swim tail was ruined last year and well yeah....This is what I'm doing ASAP between now and Friday afternoon! I can't even work on it Saturday since I work an open to close shift at my job and don't get home until late at night, so yeah no time there. I'm only taking a moment now to grab a bite to eat and cool down a bit because holy carp it's hot! :sweat drop:

SO Cool! You need to come to Florida and teach me how to sew! Come on you know you want to...I gotta poooool....and our clubhouse pools allow fins!

I had to redo my star. Ugh so PO'ed about that little mishap but yeah anyways onward! Well actually I think I'll catch some Zzz's first then onward! I just really wanted to get one side ready before crashing for the night.

This is like some serious freakin' speed tail making shiitake. Phew! :phew: Teach me to forget again! Eesh...

Ok coffee cup is full, mmmmm Vanilla Caramel K-cup yumminess, and tunes are on. Now to go pin pieces together for the other side, adjust and hit the sewing machine!

Side note: Thank you guys for your kind words. My phone has been next to me during this chaotic mess but your words of encouragement has really helped me keep my sanity. Sounds weird I know but yeah, you have been helping!

Coffee and good music are your best of friends in this situation! If you find yourself running out of steam try taking the music off and put on a movie that you like and have seen a lot as background noise, that usually helps me.

I think its a really cool idea to have holiday or seasonally inspired tails~ You can do it! -waves little flag-

Tail base is just about finished and it's ready for the sequin and rhinestone details. I only had to do 3 fitting adjustments. I still need to sew up the waist area, added the star detail (I pinned it in the last pic to show you where it was going), make a white belt, work on a red top, fix a strap on my mono that hubby made, insert the mono then figure out accessories....

On top of it all, I also have to do some small repairs on my tail skirt which is also going Sunday. Ack!
