Wow! A revolutionary doc made by one of my inspirations is on YouTube free and legal! Shark water was the first film made underwater in digital HD and made waves!! Watch it to learn the truth about shark finning but also learn how you can help!!!

It is a great film. Thank you for telling us about it. Perhaps it takes somebody with a "tough guy" persona like Ramsay to investigate these crooks.

Revolution is great but not online for free. The follow up to shark water
We watched and my students loved it--and it's not easy to keep the attention of special needs kids! I really liked it a lot, too. I am not a fan of the Sea Shepherds (an unpopular opinion I know, but I truly believe that real, long term change cannot come from a stance of violence... All those "world changers" he named at the end like Ghandi and Mandela are promoters of peace) but I loved Rob and I was so happy that he helped bring some awareness to the ticos! Love them Costa Ricans--pura vida! It was a rally beautiful and inspiring film, though some of the finning images were gut twisting!
I actually don't like sea Shepherd either. I had a bad experience with them on fb presenting incorrect info and making racist statements about the Inuit.
I like Gordon Ramsey, but what I really loved about Sharkwater is the heavy emphasis on how these are not "the most dangerous animals on the planet." I was so happy to see someone make a movie celebrating their importance and beauty while giving a realistic picture of what a shark is. As a SCUBA diver I am not scared of sharks at all, and every diver I know considers themselves blessed if they manage to see a great white or a hammerhead. They are beautiful, majestic creatures with absolutely no interest in eating humans. They get an even worse rap than the grey wolf does--I HATE movies like Jaws and The Grey which villainize amazing creatures that are more afraid of us than we are of them, and in MUCH more danger!
there's a book called "Save The Humans" that Rob wrote, about his experience filming sharkwater and I reallllly think you'd like it
