Pigmenting Silicone?
Hello Lovelies!
I am starting work on another tail (FINALLY! :D) and am wanting to pigment with something else other than the smooth on silicone pigment.
I know that there is info posted in some various tailmaking threads on what people have used, but I wanted to try to condense that info into one thread if possible?
So. Would you be willing to share what you used to pigment, glitterify, or gloss coat your silicone? Pretty please?
I am wanting to make a scale sheet with varying colors in a direct pour method (no airbrush).
I promise to share any insights I gain in the process ;)

Pearl-ex is often used, and it have a very nice pearl sheen to it.

I've also heard of some folks using the mica pigments from TKBtrading.com, though it is possible that some of them may not be good for use with silicones.

There are also tons of mica pigments on etsy that work with silicone

You can even use loose pigment mica powder eye shadow and it'll work fine. I've tried it for colors Pearl Ex didn't carry and it didn't have any negative side-effects. :)
