Hi, I'm a bit of a phantom on the network pages and have never actually posted due to being mostly online for moments at a time since I'm often overwhelmed with work and my mom having been in and out of the hospital a lot of late, but...I daresay I am fairly certain this is my tail that's been on order since early April. Squeeeeeeeeek. Somehow it is posting this not under the photo I am responding to (bottom pic in post 3965), but it is the blue, green and gold close up pic of a fluke from instagram I am referring to.

I was wondering if anyone's heard from Raven lately? I briefly spoke to her after I paid for my top and she was going to come up with a tentative date of completion for me, but I haven't heard back since and that was a couple of weeks ago now. I know how busy she is and if she's not responding it's probably because she's off doing actual work, so I don't want to bug her. I'm giving her room to breathe and take the time she needs, but I would like to have an idea of when it will be finished so I can plan accordingly. Especially since I'm moving at the end of summer. So yeah, has anyone heard from her as of late?
I think she appreciates your patience. To compare timeframes, Raven went for about a month between telling me that she would send concept sketches for my top and sending the aforementioned sketches, so a couple of weeks isn't long enough to become worried. This is especially true if you've already paid; Raven told me that after I paid for the tail that she was going to 'disappear' and go very quite for awhile, and that this was so she would have time to do the actual physical work. This "awhile" can be upwards of half a year, so you can rest assured that you have done your part in the meantime.
A top will of course take less time than a tail, but as summer's end is less than three months away I would send Raven an email with your new address if she doesn't contact you first within the next few weeks. Since you will be paying shipping anyway, you have plenty of time to clarify where the top needs to go.
A top can sometimes take a while too, like a tail order. To give you an idea. I ordered my tops, 1st one at the end of December and second in the beginning of January, and I am still waiting. I haven't heard from Raven going on three months now. I know she has had some difficulties and I've told her I am in no hurry, so for her to take her time. Waiting for a Merbella creation is a waiting game, but very rewarding as I feel that no maker can compare to her attention to detail.
Melissa - LOL. Yes, unless someone ordered that same color scheme and a custom fluke like that about the same time as me, I believe it is. I am dying to see the whole thing. I am super intrigued by the idea of your sea dragony Mer on Fire tail and can't wait to see yours either!!!
Waikiki Mer - I ordered a top last summer and it took about three months and there was little to no communication involved at all save explaining to her the coloration I wanted. Raven keeps her word, you just have to be very patient.

Topical Hunger Games reference aside however, I am now feeling like a VERY OLD Gold (Fire Angel Sea) Dragon, for despite downloading iTunes, creating an AppleID, and downloading Instagram so that I might join the exclusive "I downloaded Instagram for the sole purpose of seeing Raven's Merbella Studios posts club" I simply cannot access it. Oh well; I knew in 2001 that my decision not to buy a mobile phone due to their being so expensive and causing cancer would come back to bite me one day, and though that day has at last come I cannot complain considering that it took 13 years to do so!
So I'm even MORE appreciative of the lovely Raina's keeping us so updated on here! :mermaid kiss: That is the most realistic "nude" tail I have ever seen!
Raven just introduced her translucent waist upgrade on instagram and I have to say it looks spectacular! This is what we've been waiting for; something very unique that allows us to avoid the skin color matching drama.

I'm guessing she uses very thin silicone (probably reinforced with powermesh so it doesn't tear) near the waist so it fades out nearly to clear. So pretty! Cod, I just love Raven, she's always doing such amazing and innovative things.

Raven's doing an entirely different trick with my waistband, but this is still impressive and I am glad that is an option so that those who tan needn't worry about matching their nude tails. Thank you lynsea (clever name, btw) for the link! :mermaid kiss:
I'm following this tail for quite a while now, but now I know it has the perfect blended waist - I'm just blown away!! :drool: I wonder if she sells this couse I'm intredted.

Ariel, Raven said on her Instagram that it was an "upgrade", meaning that it is a feature one may select when ordering one's tail that will be added for an additional surcharge. I hope that helps! :mermaid kiss:

I thought that if I was crazy enough, I would have taken that spot right away because I can afford buying another performance tail (the first one being a finfolk tail) but in fact, I'm not that crazy. I really shouldn't spend all my savings for a second tail. Maybe next year when I will be richer. Then, I might consider it.

We generally try not to talk about stuff she posts on her personal FB, cause if she wanted the entire community to know she'd post it somewhere public. A lot of times she posts on her personal FB or Instagram and we ask others not to share those pics until she releases it publicly.
