The Happy Thread!

I just had three orders from Amazon come, including a new series that I only bought the first two books. Stayed up last night to finish them, decide to order the next three (thankfully it's already finished). Already have an email of shipping confirmation and they're set to arrive this Saturday :yay:

(I got free shipping and no prime and my last orders were kind of late so this is super nice)

It just sucks I'll be gone that weekend :cry:

Also baking brownie s'mores from a Instagram recipe right now finally ^^ Hoping they come out good

They literally came in a day. YES!

Well... it looks like I'm getting my Red Cross lifeguarding license ... again! I just got hired to lifeguard at Universal's new waterpark!

Also, I realized how much of the lifeguard mentality has seeped into my personality when I met everyone else who was taking the swim test with me- and EVERYONE there dressed the same way I did, acted the same way I did, and spoke the same way I did. It was like I was standing in a room full of clones- and I had never met any of these people before in my life. It was WEIRD.

Congrats on getting certified and hired! And I totally get the lifeguard mentality. I'm a pretty unique individual, but I always feel at home at the pool and at lifeguard events.

Just got back from my trip overseas which was very nice :) Only downside is that my mom broke her ankle so now me and my sister have to help my dad around the house. Feels so good to be back home! :)

I'm simply happy this forum exist. It's giving me an option to start overcoming a fear I personally had and wanted to cover come so I can eventually go mermaiding without a pair a goggles and eventually go scuba diving someday. To go from the daily day to day grown mentality to now their an achievable goal, yeah I'm very happy. I just had to share it.

I just finished my Bronze Medallion course! I'm an official bronze holder lifesaver now! :)

Congratulation! I never knew lifesaver had different level. This is the one new thing I learn today.

My husband was able to feel the baby for the first time. When that happened he had a huge grin on his face. It was wonderful :D

I was playing basketball recently and I hurt my foot. I heard several pops when I landed on it sideways and I was really scared that I broke it. I started having all these thoughts about what if I can't mermaid again, etc. Luckily I didn't break anything it is just a sprain. I have been wearing a boot on my foot since Thursday and my foot is feeling a lot better today. Not only am I happy to be getting better, but I am happy that this happened during the winter when I hardly get to swim anyways. :)

Way to look on the bright side, Alea! I wish I had your optimism.

I have signed the contract to work as a mermaid at the local Renaissance Faire this year!!!! It is volunteer only but I'm super happy about it. My best friend and mer-sister is joining me on this awesome adventure and we both are super ecstatic! I got to meet most of my fellow pod members and they all seem like women I'll get along awesomely with. Can't wait till May!

Thanks :) I'm definitely happy to be around other mers and I attend Renfest every year and I'm looking forward to be a part of the team this year(and hopefully every year after) I'm counting down the days till opening day lol
