Did try a few emails for a rush order in february 2015
I still do'nt get what a hybrid update is?
they take apart a basic tail and keep the fluke but past a performance tail body. it's a basic and a performance together. And I dont believe she's doing them right now either. She's just doing her performance tail orders til she's caught up.
So I emailed Raven a few weeks ago, and again a couple of days ago and still haven't heard back. Has anyone who is expecting a tail this month gotten ahold of her? I'd at least like to know if I'm still set to get mine this month.
I emailed her the other day and haven't heard anything. I thought I was the only one left before Michelle and Raina's tails. I hope you hear from her Waikiki!

I myself haven't received anything from Raven since the conceptual sketches in April, btw....
I got an email two weeks ago (25. 8) from raven that she'll ship my tail that monday and than from tyler (28. 8) that they shipped my tail and that i'll get the tracking number that day.
i still dont have the tracking number and i didn't hear from them since.
i'm really worried about my tail since i have no clue if its even in the right country or if its lost somewhere or if custums hold it back...but its been two weeks and it should have been here by now... ahhh that makes my crazy!! o.0

customs can hold your stuff for a long time :( shipping from US to UK takes a while, and then customs will hold the tail for a while too. I bet you'll see it within the next two weeks though. They can hold items for a long time but usually dont hold longer than a week or so. Also depends on how backed up they are
I know a bunch of people got their tails last month, but it's only the 4th of September, I think the mantis shrimp tail was the first sept tail.
I dont think she formally offers the hybrid tail as an upgrade for everyone. It was more a solution for issues people had with putting on weight etc

Im sorry it sucks. Customs ALWAYS holds my tail for a week or more :( we just got registered for an import number. It should lessen the custom fees we pay and hopefully the amount of time they keep my tail for.Quote:

/Squeeeeeeeeeeee........ Raven just accepted my order!!!!!!!! Now I just have to wait for my payment to clear and I'll be one step closer to my tail!! On a side note my boyfriend officially thinks I'm insane after my freak out to the whole situation

So...the days keep passing with no word from Raven. My heart is constricting with each day that goes by as my inbox is absent of the one name I want to see. I know it's only the beginning of September, but it was never specified if I was getting my tail in the beginning, middle, or end of this month; I was just told September. I don't even know what stage it's in. It's driving me friggin' crazy. I don't want to send more emails that are just going to be annoying or get buried under the spam, but god is it irking knowing other people are getting replies or new orders are being taken when I can't even find out the status of my tail. :[ Here's hoping I hear something before I lose my g.d. mind.
As far as I know most people aren't getting replies for new orders. Just one person got put in the queue. (I think the first person since a tail was in in the queue just after mine in March) My tail was due in July but hasn't been started because of the delays from medical stuff and then some people who were the last remaining rush orders, and people who sent stuff in for fixing. I also know Tyler is now totally handling emails and communication so Raven can focus solely on tails, and they've put in place that communication is only happening during "office hours" type deal. I'm not trying to give you any excuses just telling you what I know. Typically if you havent heard anything, there isn't anything to say. Raven always contacts when she's at the painting stage of a tail to get one side approved before painting the other. I know it can be super frustrating and I hope they work out a better system (that's what they're trying to do now) If you havent emailed in a while it doesnt hurt to email again. "hey just checking in, I was quoted September, wondering if that's still the case?" sort of deal.
It's not clients who are annoying or spamming, it's all the other people who send message after message after they've been told no or not right now. It's the people asking unrelated questions or asking for handouts etc. Trust me, Taven has dealt with far far worse than someone who paid for and just wants to check in on their tail ;) You're sweet to even consider annoying/spamming them!
Raina, do you know, typically, how many clients Raven handles at one time? Just out of interest.

Some of my extra fins sort of melted together and left paint stains / paint peeled off on the body of the tail during shipping. One in particular is still folded over onto itself and I can't peel it back without removing the paint. Couldn't reach Raven to ask her advice in fixing the fins / touching them up. Does anyone have an fixes for the slightly folded fin? It's not a desperate question as it's barely noticeable, but I would definitely like to fix the white spots and the red spots that bled off.
^ that's a reality of rush orders unfourtunantly. Raven doesn't get enough time to let everything totally dry/cure before sending out to meet people's deadlines.
it be good to put your own thread and put photos of the issue that way people can make suggestions, but when things get rushes paint transfer can happen. But if you make a thread with pics of the issue then people can make suggestions!

Does Kailanis fluke have a name?
Generally we all just call it "Kailani's Fluke" and it's not really offered as far as I know however the "Butterfly Koi" fluke is a variation of it that can be ordered.

Is there a template or two that I can use (cause I suck at drawing)? Does anyone know how often she takes orders? I am saving for my first tail (From FinFun) but I was curious because once I order that I will most save for a tail from Raven.

That's a link to the folder on the Merbella's page with all the available templates. Raven only takes orders when she can (the last one being about a week ago), so the likelihood of her taking another one soon probably isn't very high at least until she finishes off the next batch of tails. It's notoriously difficult to get an order in with Raven, it's all just a matter of luck, messaging her at the right time or being quick when she posts a spot on facebook because they're usually taken up within a few minutes.
