Thank you all, I am hopefully going swimming with it in a nice big pool this week, so that should be interesting, I am just disappointed as the colour is coming off however I know what went wrong so that will be rectified with tail # 2

I know snaketails ain't popular anywhere, but I don't care
Also, Tritons.
Thats awesome. Lamia tails can be cool to. It's definitely a lot harder to pull off the look of having a snake tail than a mermaid tail if you ask me. Oh also Echidna I thought you might find this cool. She is a russian cosplayer that did a very convincing snake tail. http://vermine-venom.deviantart.com
Oh, Vermine Venom!
I've seen her photos before. She's an amazing cosplayer.
Not sure if she can move in that tho xD
I swim in my tails, but I prefer shorter tails in water.
While I "identify" with naga (female would be nagini, I guess), loads of olden mermaid sightings cite how the mermaid/merrow/okeanid was 50-100 metres long.
Which translates as "really long tail" in my book.
Fabric is best for transport and solo shows, but I wouldn't say no to a shorter silicone tail for photoshoot and maybe aquarium opportunities once I can justify the expense.
It couldn't be really long though (who would carry that around?).
And I probably would order one, not make it myself as I've never worked with moulds.
Very cool. Here is another one I found after a quick search. Remember seeing it awhile ago in the show Hercules the legendary journeys. http://www.latexmaskcentral.com/imag.../she-demon.jpg
Old mermaid sightings are fun I think. The two varieties I have heard of are two tailed mermaids (like the starbucks mermaid) and ones with snake/eel tails. In any case awesome tail!
I agree , it is awesome . Always thought naga/lamia were cool. If I get my laptop fix I'll have to post some of the drawings I've done.
There's something about this pic that feels very early 60's Brigitte Bardot/Grace Kelly/French Riviera. Love it!

Thanks, I had plenty of practice tho
What kind of snake do you plan?
One can achieve great effects with colours and patterns.
not quite sure yet! I'm thinking ball python or maybe something colorful like the chihuahua mountain kingsnake
Oooh or a mangshan viper tail! Gaboon vipers have a nice pattern too.
Eep that's so awesome!! 😍😍😍
