Thanks, Celeste. I might give it a try. I've always kinda wanted a turquoise streak in my hair.
Great job, Kenzie; Barnacles are hard to get right when sculpting, and these look spot on. Love the Emilie Autumn quote too. :)
I didn't make this but I did have to do a repair! The little glass star on the right had snapped off which is why I got this collectible so cheap; a little nail glue and voila! Complete again. ;D I needed a watch for work and was excited to be able to bring a little mermaid (Ha!) into my everyday life!

Just made my first hair accessory! Sorry, my hair is super messy in these because I just threw it into whatever style would hold the clip in place...

YAY! The mailman just delivered this to me. I feel in love with it when I saw it last week and I plan on putting it towards a mermaid themed pirate garb, that I'm slowly working on, for the group I'm in so I can have a chance to walk around too! :p
It looks like it's missing a small charm so I'm not sure what I'll do about that. Maybe move the tiny fish over?

Currently trying to get my hands on a necklace that I feel would totally go as well but I still have 3 days. *crosses fins*
Wow, I love the style of that. What is it exactly, is it a hair clip or a pin or something?
Oh sorry I thought I mentioned what it was, guess I was too in awe with it! LOL It's a vintage Banana Bob brooch. :)
I made this a few weeks ago. Part of my new collection of mermaid accessories. I'll have the store up sometime soon I hope. So proud of this piece!

Sin, I'd use that space for a real shell or piece of abalone.
Odette, that looks so awesome, but seems dangerous, no? Or is the hook not part of it?
hehe! The hook is not part of it, but if you think that's dangerous, check out this piece! All the points are dulled (It's www.themermaidodette.com now. Gotta change that =/ )

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/16/umydy9y8.jpg this is currently my favorite necklace/mermaid necklace because of the meaning behind it. It is a hags stone that I found a while back. Not sure if all of you know what a hags stone is, so I'll just go ahead and tell you.
A hags stone is a stone with a single hole that goes completely through it. It has many myths in history behind it. It is said to ward off evil spirits. People would often tie a hags stone to the front of their ship to keep the evil spirits away, as well as be given safe travels. It is said if you find a hags stone, it is a blessing from the Goddess Diana, or even the ocean/nature itself! I like to think that since I found it while picking up trash from the beach;) and it is also used for protection from illness, dark magic, or anything of the sort:)
I attached two quartz crystals to the fishnet also just because I thought it added a nice touch as well as a good energy!
~Mermaid Sirenia~
That's such a thoughtful necklace! I love it! I actually just learned about hags stones recently and have kept an eye out for one since~
My accessories right now are my triton's horn that I made...put it on a releasing belt so it can hang at my side, and cut and drilled the end to make it a functioning horn:

And just made this for birthday parties...got a little trinket box from Michael's for a dollar, removed the cheap velveteen inside liner and bottom and painted it, added some gold paint and a gold-painted shell at the top, and a little seahorse and gold doodad on the bottom to show it's "Atlantean treasure" :) We do a wishing game at princess parties with magic gems, so I figure I'll either put shells or pirate coins in this one for a mermaid version of the wish game! I also sealed it thoroughly so it can go in the water. it's still sort of white and gluey around the horse because it's not dry, but it will dry clear.
Next to it is a little seashell pendant I will either use as a pendant or put on my top.

Gonna put all my atlantean treasures and shells and things in a big net bag to bring to parties and show kids during show and tell :3
These are lovely, Aquarianne! Where did you buy your conch? The shell store I buy from didn't have any conches large enough to be a horn.

This piece is one of my favorites. I picked this photo because it shows off the hook better though the shell is washed out. With this one, the hook is part of it. I love my new collection! I'll sell soon, but for now, it's creating the pieces! I love the allure of hooks and lures. I just typed out the whole story for the new store right here, but I will wait. :cthulhu:
