Finally finished my top for the... 35th season of the Scarborough Renaissance Festival.
It has abalone, labradorite, and freshwater pearls.

It's nothing fancy (yet) but I finally have the materials for my merman vest! I ordered extras because it's better to have too much than not enough. I'm not sure if I should create my own thread for progress on this or not...2200 scales, 4200 rings.

I do like the side detail. Maybe you could put thin strips of netting on certain parts of the side so as not to cover all of that detail. Or you could sew on a few random pearls.

Wowow, That top is -beautiful- :swoon: Can you post another picture head on of the whole thing? The side view doesn't do it justice.
