I'll remember that next time, and now that I think about it, I put on my facebook profile that I was interested in women on purpose. I didn't want to give anyone the wrong idea. I felt off mostly because they can see pictures already if they bothered to look. I really didn't want to offer more photos than what I posted already.

If you feel wary of sending him something through the mail, then follow your gut and don't send it. I think being cautious of who has your address is completely sensible and understandable, and it doesn't make you rude or unfriendly. People have unrealistic expectations of having access to strangers because of social media profiles nowadays.
it is very unusual for strangers who are adults to ask anyone to send them photos. The reasons are usually sexual whether you're a mermaid or not; unless they give you a very specific rare reason. Merverts love to flatter people so you dont think they're dangerous.
For everyone out there, Robert John Taylor is actually a really nice person who is genuinely kind hearted. I got caught up in concerns about this stuff, and now I think I chased away a potential good friend. Merman Jax met him in person, and he confirmed to me that he's a nice person. If you guys see him on facebook, could you guys offer him some support if you are willing to work with him. He really is a nice person with a possible issue with boundaries. I'm sure if you tell him when he's crossing a boundary he will understand. He may not be my friend after asking him about some of this, but I hope the mercommunity can offer him some support. He's just genuinely interested in this stuff after watching splash. He loves mermaids in a positive way. He's kind hearted, and he offered me lots of support. If I can get you guys to offer him support, that would be great. There may not be another chance for me to make it up to him, but I hope you guys will be willing to be his friend on facebook. I'm sure he would appreciate it.

Robert John Taylor is the one that asked for a signed photo and dropped it after asking. My concerns about the other two bleeded into my encounter with him. He has done nothing but be supportive, and I want people to know that he isn't as bad as he could ever appear to be if he appears that way at all. I let pointless assumptions get the better of me and lost a potential friend.
