I was imagining quite large, flowing fins for this tail, but I still want them to be sturdy particularly for donning and doffing the tail. I'll leave it to you to decide that balance!

Like this one? I like the size, but they look a bit too floppy for my taste, though that's likely because of their shape. I feel like my fin, being attached all along its length, might be more stable.
So I guess, yeah, that big!
Gotcha! I have a stiffer silicone to give the fins a little less flop...Dragonskin had a Shore Hardness of 10, and the additional platinum cure silicone I have has a hardness of nearly 40.
Sounds good to me! :)
Ooooh can't wait to see that

Hey do you want me to change the name of this thread to accommodate Kelda's name change?
Yes please! I'm about to roll out a lot of updates for this tail and that would be awesome! Thanks, Wes! :mermaid kiss:
I'll do it when I get home on my laptop :)

Kelda! I fell down in studio like a dumbass and busted your fluke mold! I will resculpt it when we restart your tail soon...are there any changes/modifications you'd like to make? Think about it and let me know!

i am gonna go ahead and just comment real quick. just looked at your profile and see this is the very first thing you have posted since being on here. this kinda comment (especially first comment) along with no description of you in your profile except that you are male can often send off red flags to this forum. it is usually best to make an introduction thread and tell the forum about yourself first, also if you wanna buy one of pearlieks masterpieces (or any silicone tail) it is probably best you go to her website or etsy, look at her prices, decide if you can pay in full or do payments, then send an email when you are ready ^^ (advice from a mer whom will someday be owning a lovely tail from her.)
Hey would you help me

Hello! I'd suggest you look at Pearlie's Etsy shop before you start bugging her about it. Payment plans are available as far as I know. Tails are expensive and take time to make. I'd suggest you introduce yourself to the forum and look into a fabric tail. MerNetwork has information about how to make your own fabric tail if it's too expensive for you to purchase.
All the Best,
Delphis
Oh, ouch, Pearlie! I hope you didn't seriously hurt yourself! Take care.
Eek *gives bandaids*

Hahaha! You guys, I'm fine but the mold is toast and so is a small rack that held craft supplies. Nothing hurt on me but my dignity!
And cierramageyahoo, if you have $3500.00 onhand, you can be put into the production line-up for a tail! Current wait times are estimated at 12 to 18 months. Shall I send you an invoice for a $500.00 non-refundable deposit?
Ok

Please confine all your replies to one window rather than hitting reply after every thought.
Perhaps you should look for a less expensive tailmaker. Being young is no excuse.
But I am

Do you want me to tell you my age

I believe what Pearlie meant (rather than actually doubting your age) was that it's not an excuse to get things handed to you for free/ less just because you're younger. If anything it's a perfect example why you shouldn't get a silicone tail right now, as you'll likely grow out of it very quickly and it means all the time and funds will be wasted, not to mention whatever amazing piece Pealie creates will get very little use.
Quite frankly, I don't care how old you are. I believe to be a member of Mernetwork, you have to be at least 13, unless you are a proven exception like Jazz.
The number I am most concerned with is a dollar amount. I will not reduce my prices because you are very young because I will still be doing the same amount of work and using the same amount of supplies and time and effort. Also, I will not, and you cannot, enter into a business transaction with me if you are under 18 years old.
And please don't send me any more one word private messages.
PS: please stop hijacking my thread.
Ok

Oh no, Pearlie! I hope it didn't hurt too much!
I will think about modifications and let you know :)
