I was born in Tir, which means apparently the Mehregan celebrations got my parents all frisky. Not surprised, all the sharbat, noghl, frankincense, and gift-giving really puts anyone in a good mood. I also suspect bathtub wine played quite a role, as well..... Bathtub alcohol is a family tradition. ;)
(When we were in Iran, Mehregan was kind of like Christmas, but a bit earlier. It's actually the holiday Christmas comes from... But I'm not going to derail the thread with that, I just was laughing at the idea of my parents getting drunk and had to share.)

i wanted to post this on the forum before posting it anywhere else but unfortunately I am having to sell my Merbellastudios hybrid tail! Due to personal and health reasons I can no longer use my mermaid tail and it is with great sadness that I will be selling all of my mermaid set! I'm asking $2300 for everything as I have only used my tail and couple of times!

It's scary how well that tail would fit me. And I'm in Australia! But I'm saving for a holiday in February and I've already bought a new tail from Raven this year :(

Namiko, I'm so so sorry to hear about your tail situation! I'm also extremely sad that I don't have any money. I wiuldnt fit into your tail for another few pounds anyway, but it was one of the tails that I've fallen most in live with, and I'm so sad that two people will have owned it soon and I won't be one of them :(
So sad to hear that Namiko. I loved watching you in your tail but understand what life is like. It is almost exactly my size but I can't afford it right now otherwise I would snap it up. Good luck!

@ Arion- I got to meet and swim with her at one of our meet-ups. She's in the Coast Guard down here in Florida and from what I could gather it keeps her pretty busy. Although, you are right, I haven't seen her on in quite a while.

I'm sorry that Mermaid Mechanic is kept too busy to offer photography of her swimming as the sea dragon (which was obviously a partial influence on my own top/tail), but somehow I feel better knowing that a mermaid is serving and defending our country....

Got an update email from Raven saying construction of my tail is done and she's going to begin attaching all the extra fins then paint. :D so excited.
I have not heard from Raven about my seaweed top. She said It would be finished any moment. But another month has passed. I don't know why, but I'm fine with it and knowing it's gonna be an amazing top anyway! :) Haven't seen pictures trough.
I am so sad :( I bought this gorgeous top from Raven last month when she was clearing stuff out and put a bunch of tops up for sale. It is built on a 36C bra, but b/c the shells are so large, I am thinking the cups can go bigger. I was worried it would be too big and unfortunately it is. It arrived today and is not only loose on my but the shells are just too massive for my frame. It is absolutely gorgeous and has so much detail and I am just heartbroken it doesn't fit. I am thinking I will need to sell it. Would anyone be interested? The shells are about 8-9 inches. I paid $262.65 which included shipping

Hey guys, mechanic here! Sorry, I have been a bit MIA but I've been silently stalking boards. Suspicions are correct, the Coast Guard has kept me very busy as I am in a very important leadership - transition phase that determines the direction of the rest of my coast guard career. I do plan to be active again this spring though, and maybe sooner if I catch a break in work! I feel slightly warm and fuzzy that I'm inquired about. ^_^

So I have made the decision to receive my new tails during NCMerfest as opposed to having them mailed here to Halifax. While it's hard for me to go another month waiting, it is taking a chance to have the tails go through customs which can hold items for weeks with no guarantee that they will get to us in time. I will still have to pay shipping and custom fees, but far less than I would if it was mailed to Halifax. My mermazing merbrother Merman Christian is taking up the responsibility of letting me mail them to him in the USA and he will drive them to NCMerfest where I will film an EPIC unboxing with all of my close mer-friends. This means poor rapidash is being pulled from retirement for another month haha. We'll have a few gigs together, and one last photo/video shoot. So while we are also celebrating advent for Fishmas, I'll be celebrating advent for my tails and counting down the days hehe! I am SO lucky to have so many mermazing (as Linden calls it!) mer-friends and family. I am overjoyed to see them again.
Annika, I would say that you can certainly send an inquiry, but I've found that Raven emails or replies to inquiries only when she has something new to say. If you have a specification for your tail or an update on the paint scheme you want, by all means send it to her so she has it on hand for reference, but you aren't likely to hear from her until she's got new info for you about your painting stage. Also, didn't I read somewhere that you ordered in July? Did you order it as a rush tail?Quote:
