I know and understand that. But these do look a little too similair.
She's just saying how hard it is to sue based on designs and things. Actually I'm not sure that you can copyright a tail design at all so not even then.

Gotcha! I wasn't sure if she was referencing a previous event. That sounds like a.. interesting tail. :D

xcuse u.
Not sure if it's okay for me to post this here but...
I'm really new to mermaid-ing and tails but I fell in love with Finfolk's tails and would love to get one from them once I can save up enough for it.
I've loved mermaids for as long as I can remember but only recently found out I could actually get a real wearable tail. I thought about making a cloth tail for years but could never find a monofin I was satisfied with the shape of...
Anyway, I've been filling a sketchbook with tail designs ever since I found out and I just ended up creating my dream tail! (Based on one of FF's fluke shapes.) And I got incredibly excited (I'm sitting here flailing) but it's 3:30am here and everyone's asleep but I wanted to share with someone...

I've been struggling with what color tail I'd get (mainly light or dark issue) and then ended up getting inspired by the skin on my upper arm... (that sounds weirder typed than it did in my head... the skin is a light peachy color with darker pink mixed in and lots of freckles, plus I'm super pale so you can see the veins in my wrists/hands very easily) It just kind of turned into a color scheme idea and then I ended up literally dreaming about that tail. It's missing the tummy fins but I was having trouble getting the shape right so I left them off for now. It took several attempts to get it right but then this showed up and it took my breath away (which none of my other sketches had). I sat there staring at it for a good 5-10 minutes, wanting to claw it out of the page so I can wear it... Maybe sometime in the next couple years? (Depends on how fast I can save up...)
You can also post it in the Show your tail designs tread. :)
That a thread where everyone shares their tail designs (if they want to) :)
Edit: It's a beautiful design. (I think designing a tail based on your own skin is very unique and special, and not weird)
Here's the link to the Design thread: http://mernetwork.com/index/showthre...w+tail+designs
By the way, your design is beautiful! I haven't seen anything like it before!
Thank you! :D
I used the link and posted it in the tail design thread too.
I want to make a fabric and a neoprene tail to practice with while i save up though (and those will likely be super plain).
Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem and I was hoping someone here could give me some advice/help me out.
I've been trying to get in touch with the FF girls for 3 weeks now. I finally have enough money to send them my tail for alterations, but I haven't been able to get a reply. I know they're very, very busy. I have a deadline of June 7th and I initiated contact as soon as I had the money, thinking 7 weeks would be plenty of time and I didn't want to rush them. Now the deadline is 4 weeks away and I haven't heard anything.
I did get a response last week saying they got my message and would "try to get to it [that day]" but I haven't heard anything since. I've tried messaging on their FB page and email address... Any ideas?
I can try to reach to them but 4 weeks only seem very short to me considering the time for postal services back and forth and the time it will take to alter the tail. Not to mention if they can fit the work in their very busy schedule...
It won't hurt to try but no guarantee.
Right and that's why I initiated contact 3 weeks ago. I wanted to get the tail out to them as soon as possible, but I've been trying to get an answer for 3 weeks. I can completely understand if they can't fit me in, considering how much time has passed since I first messaged them. My first message was April 17th and I've been following up every 3/4 days.
Thank you for trying, Arion. All I needed to know was if they could or could not, because I was prepared to do a rush shipment either way. I understand that they're very busy, but I also see them post every day on FB and IG and all I needed was a "yes" or a "no" answer.
Just a note about them posting every day, you can schedule facebook posts and instagram posts. I do it all the time for a local business page I work for...
