Oh yeah, of course :) the ancients believed the water was a deity in itself and filled with water spirits. It's always nice to pay them a visit :)

Exactly! :D I recently took up Triton as one of my patrons. Pretty cool god

Interesting! Most people I know with an interest in Hellenic sea deities are more interested in Poseidon.
If I may ask, what spurred your call to Triton?
Oh! I need to be a part of this! [emoji227][emoji102]

Welcome, MermaidMizu! We are glad to have you.
I'd been connected to the merfolk for a while, since I was a little kid, and I'd always seen Triton as close, but I went in for my first psychic reading, she told me she saw a masculine figure next to my primary pateon, Brigid. Recently I went to another psychic (same shop) and asked her if she could help me, and lo and behold it was Triton. And after I accepted it, I had a dream that night about swimming with mermaids so I took it as a sign. Still learning though

Also my experience with Poseidon leads me to assume he hates my guts and isn't right for me. AP is fun stuff and can ruin your childhood gods for you XD

Fire and Water? That's an interesting combo there, but it sounds like the psychics were right on!
Yep, Brigid helps me stay productive in the day and I'm still trying to figure out what Triton does with me, so it's a learning experience

You could always just ask about his interest in you. This is your chance to get know him! Does he want his own altar or shrine? What types of offerings might he like? Is there anything you can do for him? (Reading up on forms of traditional worship might not be a bad idea, either.)
I did but there isn't much, so I've got a small altar and I think he likes t

Welcome, Morgana. Nice to meet you!
I have been seeing "Sea Witch" by Wendy Joubert popping up on a lot of recommended reading lists. Has anyone read it?
I identify as Pagan/Wiccan Although stepped away from it for awhile, I find myself slowly coming back to it!
And sea witch is a very good read!! i'd highly recommend it!
I started reading water witchcraft. I like it so far! :)

i apparently fall under the pagan umbrella, but i'm not pagan per se.
i'm of native descent, so while the word 'pagan' is applied to what we do, a lot of us don't see it that way.
i'm also a loose follower of inanna, hence the name.
I also identify myself as wiccan! I live by the ocean and dedicate my magick to the sea and the mysteries of water. Its awesome that other mermaids here feel this way and practice paganism in this way!
