Trying my best above. Unfortunately with no beautiful clear springs and such I had to make do with a pool. I did ok for a first time photoshoot.
Also had someone who had never photographed a mer before, so that may have contributed
Holy crap, that was a pool? Was it one of those fresh-water pools that are kept sanitary by the plants separated? That is an amazing pool.

The latex and paint are all coming off from around the top and cracking. Its always served me well though. It looks like a Magictail to me, but I don't know for sure. It sure is pretty though--I love the green <3
