Made using a Mertailor base, but the fluke isn't really what I'd want. I love the colors of this guppy though, and this could easily become my dream tail with a few design tweaks :)

I love Gyarados! I've had a Gyarados mermaid design for ages. Back before Pokemon gijinka got super popular. But I drew it up again recently~ More of a literal take rather than just inspiration. I want to eventually make it myself in silicone.

This is my design. I'm not entirely sure what I even based it off of, all I know is that the monofin I want to use is Vanessa's(?) sirena monofin from her etsy shop. I'm going to shade it darker purple, almost to black on the backside (I haven't gotten around to doing the back design) and I will be using darkfin gloves and painting them purple on the fins, almost black purple on the hands and lightening up to my skin color near the wrists. Hopefully it'll work.
It kinda looks a tiny bit boring to me though. Is there anything I could do to maybe spice it up a bit?

love this, neat colors! I'm interested in seeing more designs based of specific fish with a side by side. I've asked a tail-maker to make me a silicone tale based off the Royal Tang (my favorite... yes, before it was a "Dorey fish")... but won't actually get it probably march.Quote:

Or the clssic H2O look, with I really like, but I'm not sure if I want to be yet another person 'copying' H2O in my tail.
(Even tough my fabric tail is going to have a fluke a bit like the H2O fluke)

Yeah, symmetry is hard, even when I'm drawning on paper.
But I have figured out a way to be able to draw symmetrical!
I also used it to draw all the designs in my 'Tails all year round' thread.
(That design pile has grown to 55 design over the last 3 years :))

Here ya go! I made them based on the description, and added coloring for a swamp dwelling mer. More earth tones. One with black throughout and one without. I also added some side fins. :)

I don't like harsh color blocks on tails, or stripes. Spots are lovely. I love space/stars/nightskies.

The fluke styles I like most are loreena/calypso from Finfolk, Merbellas Angler and Mertailors Pirate and Leaf.
I don't care much for royal blue, I like the toned down versions of blue more. :)
